The World Federation of Trade Unions representing 92 million workers in the 5 continents, stands by the side of the people of Vietnam and expresses its sincere condolences to the families of the at least 27 people who lost their lives because of the Typhoon Damrey which affects central and southern Vietnam.
Typhoon Damrey unleashed more than 12 inches of rain on parts of northern Visayas and southern Luzon in the Philippines few days ago and subsequently it became a tropical storm. In addition missing people, and major disasters complete the tragic account of typhoon Damrey the last two days.
