According to Kazakh finance minister, 407 state-owned objects have been sold in Kazakhstan within the privatization program which started in June 2014. During that period 26 of the sold objects were owned directly by the state, 73 objects – by the state companies and holdings, 101 – by socio-entrepreneurial corporations and 207 by municipal administrations.
The privatization program of Kazakhstan government aims to reduce the state’s participation in the economy to 15 percent, which is the level set for countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
The World Federation of Trade Unions representing 92 million workers in the 5 continents condemns the sell-out of the state property. The WFTU struggles in order to safeguard the public property in favor of the working class and its interests and calls the peoples to join the international class oriented movement in this direction.
