The increasing of the frequency and volume of the migrants and refugees waves over the last years is a phenomenon directly linked with the long-lasting structural economic crisis of the capitalist system and the wars that generates.
The WFTU, on the occasion of the adoption of the migrant compact by the UN General Assembly, once again, denounces and uncovers the hypocrisy of the imperialist states. The imperialist states, escalate the military investments and imperialist plans and wars and create increasingly new waves of refugees and migrants.
The imperialist governments with the one hand they sign resolutions for the migrants and refugees and with the other hand sign new military missions in the middle east and Africa. At the same time, they open their borders as long as it dictated by the needs of capital for cheap workforce and then they built walls to keep the rest people out their countries.
The World Federation of Trade Unions, representing more than 95 million workers in 130 countries of the five continents, continues its firm and stable struggles against the real causes of the displaced people phenomenon. Simultaneously, it expresses its support and solidarity with those who are forced to leave their homelands because of the capitalist crisis and imperialist wars.
The working class and the international class-oriented trade union movement strengthen the class solidarity with refugees and migrants and intensify the efforts for full and soft incorporation of these people in society, work and class struggles.
