The World Federation of Trade Unions, the more historic and only international class-oriented trade union organization expresses its solidarity with the suffering people of Afghanistan who are facing a long-lasting humanitarian crisis which is directly or indirectly related to the consequences of the imperialist intervention in the country.
The humanitarian crisis is estimated to be increased even more during the next year since the pandemic is added in the previous problems, conflicts and displacements. More specifically, according to the UN, 16 million people will need to be helped in 2021, 5 million more compared to 2020. The WFTU and its 105 million workers continue their struggle for a dignified standard of living for all peoples and for their right to freely decide for their own present and future without foreign imperialist interventions.
