The WFTU expresses its strong condemnation for the new labor accident as a coal mine tunnel collapse kills at least five workers in Afghanistan.
Our thoughts are with the families and the relatives of the workers who lost their lives, adding their names at the endless list of the dead in an labour accident. As the workers complained, the mine is operating with little regard for safety, and that those working in it were poor workers with no other way to make a living.
The WFTU demands the investigation of the new labour accident and the punishment those responsible. The class oriented trade union movement will continue its relentless struggle for the implementation of adequate health and safety protective measures at the work places and all the aspect of the workers lives.
