The World Federation of Trade Unions, on behalf of its more than 95 million workers in 130 countries of the five continents expressing its support and solidarity with the Brisbane ferry workers who have decided to go on a 24-hours strike on Thursday.
The ferry workers, who went on strike again two weeks ago, are continuing their mobilization and strikes in protest against erode of the maintenance and safety standards as well as for their defending the right for dignified wages and dignified working conditions.
The class oriented trade union movement declares stand on the side of the workers, struggling for the defending of the workers rights as well as the quality and safety on transportation and others public services to the ordinary people.
The WFTU demand the satisfy of the strikers’ fair demands and assures ones again that the struggling workers all over the world can rely on the support and solidarity of the millions of militant workers who are struggling through the WFTU ranks.
