The World Federation of Trade Unions, the militant voice of 105 million workers all over the world, unequivocally stands on the side of the workers of the 4 big companies in the Sector Telecom Sector, Call Centers & Teleperformance in Greece who will go on a 24-hour strike on February 8th, 2024.
The organization of a strike rally is the only dignified path for the workers to follow since the cost of living has skyrocketed and companies in the sector have given no pay rises for years, rejecting all the workers’ demands.
The strike was democratically decided by the massive open meeting held in the Regional Trade Union Center of Piraeus with the participation of Thousands of telecommunication workers who, inter alia, declared a 24-hour strike starting Thursday, February 8th 07.00 until Friday 07.00 in Teleperformance, Webhelp, TTEC, Foundever and a demonstration at 12.00 at Syntagma Square, to protest in front of the Greek Parliament.
The International class-oriented trade union movement joins its voice with the workers of the 4 major companies, their united struggle, and their just demand for a collective agreement with increased wages.
