The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the World Federation of Trade Unions which was established on October 3rd 1945, rising from the ashes of the World War II.
In the framework of the year-long celebration of the glorious 8 decades of struggles, honor, and dignity of the International Class-Oriented Trade Union Movement, the WFTU Secretariat, among other initiatives and events, declares the launch of a Poster Competition.
The WFTU Secretariat call upon trade unionist and workers, graphic-designers, artists and in general creators associated with the WFTU, the workers and trade union movement and struggles to create poster(s) in line with the interests, visions and social mission of the working class and promoting the militant history of the WFTU and its class-oriented, solidarity and internationalist orientations and principles.
The participating poster will be evaluated based on the above criteria and perspective, the winning poster will be used and promoted in the main event of the 80th Anniversary celebrations in which the winner will attend and will be awarded with all the costs covered by the WFTU.
In addition, all participating posters aligned with the above-mentioned criteria will be promoted on various occasions with the name and country of the creators who will receive souvenirs symbolic gifts, and souvenirs of the WFTU.
Competition Details and Poster specification and requirements:
- The poster should be sent to the via email to the WFTU Headquarter at email address: [email protected] by July, 30th, 2025.
- The slogan which will be included in the Poster in any chosen language will be: “80 years of class struggle – with Internationalism and Solidarity”
