On the last two days, comrade C.H. Venkatachalam, head of the Finance Control Committee of the WFTU, visited Cyprus for the annual auditing financial control of the Federation.
On the occasion of his staying, comrade Venkatachalam held a meeting with the WFTU General Secretary, Pambis Kyritsis. During the meeting, several issues and proposals were discussed, concerning the financial situation and strengthening of the World Federation of Trade Unions.
As is already known, these proposals will be discussed in the upcoming Presidential Council Meeting, which will be held on the first days of March in Sao Paolo – Brazil. During the 2024 Presidential Council Meeting, decisions will be taken which will give the Federation the financial ability to be able to respond adequately and dynamically to the contemporary needs, needs that require the class-oriented trade union movement to be strong in every aspect of its actions!
