In a powerful show of solidarity, Nakliyat-İş Union organized a massive demonstration at the US Consulate in Istanbul, standing with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples against the ongoing attacks by Zionist Israel, backed by US imperialism. The event saw the participation of Nakliyat-İş members alongside executives from Birleşik Metal İş and Polonez workers, who have been engaged in their own long-term resistance against employer exploitation.
Ali Rıza Küçükosmanoğlu, Vice President of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), delivered a passionate press release during the demonstration. He condemned the genocidal acts and massacres carried out by Zionist Israel and called for an immediate cessation of all diplomatic and economic relations between Turkey and the State of Israel.
The demonstration also featured speeches from Ali Çeltek, General Secretary of Birleşik Metal İş, and Engin Gürbüz, a key figure in the Polonez resistance. Both expressed their unwavering support for the Palestinian struggle and emphasized the importance of international solidarity.
The atmosphere was charged with defiance as participants repeatedly chanted slogans like “Yankee go home!”, voicing their opposition to US intervention and imperialism in the region.
This demonstration underscores the continuing commitment of Nakliyat-İş and its allies to stand against oppression and fight for justice on an international scale.
