During the last 3 weeks, at least 6 fatal labour accidents took place in Pakistan resulting in the death of at least 10 miners. The unacceptable working conditions both in the mines as well as in several other workplaces and industries of the country reaffirm the constant and conscious crime which is taking place for years in a country rich of minerals and natural recourses.
Despite the several conventions of the ILO and others International Organizations the multinationals and the national capital are still stealing the produced worth created from the sweat and the blood of the Pakistani working class.
The class-oriented trade union movement continues its firmly struggles demanding the implementation of adequate security and protection measures in all workplaces and in all aspect of lives. We also express our sincere condolence to the family and the relatives of the murdered workers. The WFTU calls the workers of Pakistan to join the class-oriented trade union movement and its relentless struggles for the covering of the contemporary needs of the workers and ordinary people of Pakistan.
