With great participation and fruitful interventions, the International Congress of trade unions of Transport, Communication and fisheries (TUI Transport of WFTU) concluded its works today on Saturday 2nd March, 2019.
The WFTU is represented by its General Secretary, comrade George Mavrikos, who during his intervention highlighted the importance of coordination and the class struggles of all workers of the above sectors who face similar problems as well as the necessity of internationalist solidarity.
After the conclusion of the congress the delegates took part in a commemoration event to honor the workers who were killed on May 1st 1977 in Taksim square.
Finally, the TUI Congress delegates visited the Real Market workers, who have been struggling for 18 months for their salaries and compensensions, expressing in practice their solidarity with them.
