The World Federation of Trade Unions, which represents 105 million workers in 130 countries, expresses its support for the struggles led by the FNIC-CGT in France against the destruction of jobs in the country’s chemical industry.
Whether it is at Vencorex, Arkema, Solvay, Airliquide, Exxonmobil, Novares or Michelin, workers are being hit by a barrage of job cuts. Workers at all these production sites have launched powerful strike actions, some of them to be indefinite strikes.
On the occasion of a new national day of action by the FNIC-CGT on 7 November at the Pont de Claix chemical platform before the Vencorex company, the WFTU is reaffirming its support for the struggle of the workers in France against the destruction of jobs!
Their message is clear: we will not let our jobs be destroyed!
STOP factory closures! STOP the destruction of industrial jobs! STOP job insecurity for families!
