The World Federation of Trade Unions salutes the transport workers in the London Underground in their struggle for the satisfaction of their fair demands and congratulates its affiliate, the RMT Britain, for the successful organizing of a rock solid strike across all lines, all grades and all depots showing a clear message of solidarity and unity of the entire workforce.
The World Federation of Trade Unions representing 92 million workers in 126 countries aligns itself with the labour and safety demands as they are raised by the RMT and asks from the Administration, the Government and the Mayor of London to take back the proposed cuts, increase in nightshifts and work on weekends and further casualization of working relations and to address the issues respecting the rights of the working people and the passengers.
