The WFTU – ETUF Joint Conference started its works today in Cairo, under the topic: “The Trade Union Movement in Africa in the 21st century: Priorities and Necessities”.
Trade Unionists from 20 African countries participate in this Conference, willing to exchange point of views and experiences as well as to plan their future action and coordination, for the improvement of African workers’ living and working conditions.
On the behalf of WFTU, Abdelmalik El Naneem, member of the WFTU Secretariat from SWTUF-Sudan, will adress the Conference.
The General Secertary of the Organization of African Trade Union Unity, brother Arezki Mezhoud, and the General Secretary of the International Confederation of Arab Trade Unions, brother Ghassan Ghosn, as well as Egyptian officials take part in the Conference.
The program will be concluded on November 2 with cultural activities.
