Last June 15, 2010 the WFTU celebrated its 65th anniversary in Geneva. The event was held in the framework of the 99th International Labour Conference and more than 170 affiliates and friends of WFTU attended the celebration.
Outstanding members of the WFTU leadership attended the event and took the floor. Also Mr. Dan Cunniah, Director of ACTRAV and Mr. Trotman President of Workers Group represented the ILO and delivered a speech in the event. The WFTU was honoured with the presence and the speeches of the comrades from OATUU Hassan Soumonou, ICATU Rajab Maatouk, ACFTU Vice-president Xu, COSATU Bongani Masuku.
The WFTU youth committee was also present at the presentantion with more that 50 young trade unionist who travelled from all Europe to attend the event.
