A WFTU delegation was invitend and is attending the meeting of International Democratic Organizations, convened in Moscow to conmemorate the 70th anniversary of the vistory over fascism and nazism on May 9th. The WFTU delegation was headed by the WFTU General Secretary George Mavrikos and included Valentin Pacho Quispe WFTU Deputy General Secretary, Mzwandile Makwayiba, President of NEHAWU South Africa and member of WFTU Presidential Council, CH Venkatachalam, President of Financial Control Comitee of WFTU, Raymundo Navarro, Responsible for International Relations of CTC Cuba, Divanilton Pereira, Director of International Relations of CTB Brazil and WFTU Coordinator for South Cone and Timur Narykov, interpreter.
The delegation of WFTU yesterday laid flowers to the Grave of the Unknown Soviet Soldier near the Kremlin wall and to the Moscow’s Hero Cities of the Soviet Union Memorial. WFTU also took part in the round table “1945-2015. Years of Struggle. New Chalenges”.
