The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), representing 105 million workers who live and work in 130 countries around the world, denounces to the international community the new interventions of the European Union against the right of the Venezuelan people to decide freely about their present and future.
The EU Continuing its provocative support of the coup leader Guaidó, imposed sanctions on 11 Venezuelan officials who took part in anti-USA opposition activities, including Luis Parra, the president of the National Assembly. The response of the elected government of Nicolas Maduro to order the European Union’s ambassador to leave the country, is just and right.
The World Federation of Trade Unions denounces this dangerous strategy of the European Union and their allies and calls the working people around the world to resist these plans: The imperialists and the multinationals with their governments, expressed this time by the EU, want to steal the natural wealth resources of Venezuela. The working class and the people of Venezuela have to crush the imperialists’ puppets. Venezuela is not alone!
