The WFTU denounces the new chapter of the imperialist powers’ attacks on the Syrian State. The terrorist attack against Aleppo is part of the big Middle East plan led by the USA, EU, NATO and other imperialist powers. These new developments open the way for the escalation of bloodshed and further destabilization in the region and confirm the risk of an outbreak of a generalized conflict.
We call upon the workers and trade unions to take action, to condemn the attempts to intervene in the internal affairs of Syria and the plans to divide Syria; to express their opposition in every possible way against the occupation by foreign forces of the Syrian territories (Aleppo, etc.)
The WFTU expresses its full support to the Syrian workers and people and stands firmly next to General Federation of Trade Unions Syria in these hard times.
