Three young people died on Thursday after an accident at the Cabanesses potash mine in Surria, Barcelona. One of the dead was a worker and the other two were trainees. While the three were investigating the corridor at a depth of 900 metres, they were caught in a landslide. The mine’s fire and rescue teams worked together to extract the bodies, a complex task that took several hours, as the safety of the rescuers had to be guaranteed.
