Within a comradely and fraternal atmosphere, the presidential council of WFTU was actualized on the 5th of April at the Novotel Hotel, in Athens, Greece, where the final preparations for the congress were debated.

The Secretary of WFTU stated that through the successful processing of the open, democratic, class oriented congress of WFTU, the goal that should be achieved is the giving of answers and the revival of the workers’ hopes.
The President also pointed out that the success of the Congress is a duty of all the participants and a duty towards the expectations of the workers all over the world. The members of the presidential council within an atmosphere of unity and internationalism committed themselves to intensify their efforts concerning the defense of the working class’ rights and interests around the world.
