In Panama City, the World Working Women Congress has just begun, paying tribute to the 8th March Day; a so special day for women who fought for equal rights in work, society and life.
Dozens of woman delegates came from every corner of the world to participate in the debates and the planning of the future actions of the WFTU in the struggles for the rights of the female workers.
The Congress will also have the presence of the General Secretary of the WFTU, George Mavrikos and cde Valentin Pacho, WFTU Vice-president.
The Congress which is hosted by the Central Nacional de Trabajadores de Panama “CNTP” , opened by the greeting message of the General Secretary of the “CNTP” and WFTU Vice-President, cde Alfredo Grael Anino, and continues with the interventions of the various countries.
The today’s Congress Presidium is composed by cde Carmen Lizarraga, CNTP Panama, cde Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, VGCL Vietnam, cde Valentin Pacho, CGTP Peru, cde Khanye Mathalepo Grace, NUM South Africa, cde Gilda Chacon, CTC Cuba and cde Sousan Abdelsalam, GUPW Palestine.
