The World Federation of Trade Unions, on behalf of its 105 million members in 132 countries all over the world, strongly condemns the murder of a young Palestinian man, who was shot and killed by the Israeli occupation army last Sunday at a checkpoint in North West Bank, while last week a 17-year-old Palestinian secondary school student was murdered in a similar way. Also the occupation forces evicted a Palestinian family in Masafir Yatta community and a group of Israeli settlers destroyed Palestinian plantations and planted their own in order to arbitrarily occupy Palestinian property in Salfit, West Bank.
These new Israeli crimes follow the recent announcement of the Israeli Prime Minister about plans to build more than 800 settlements in the occupied West Bank, continuing the illegal settlement policy that blatantly violates international law and the rights of the Palestinian people.
The WFTU firmly stands by the side of the workers and People of Palestine and continues the struggle for the release of all Palestinian child prisoners from Israeli jails, for the protection of Palestinian workers’ rights against the Israeli aggression and occupation and stably supports the fulfillment of the just demands of our Palestinian brothers and sisters.
