On the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour, The World Federation of Trade Unions and its affiliates in Pakistan are organizing a two day seminar-meeting on “child labor and the role of the WFTU”
Tens of delegates from several sectors, participated in the first day of the WFTU seminar-meeting which successfully concluded, today on 12th June 2019, in Lahore, Pakistan.
During the works of the first day of the seminar-meeting, the delegates analyzed the multifaceted nature and causes of the phenomenon of the child labor and also they discussed the role of the World Federation of Trade Unions and the class-oriented Trade Union movement for the protection and satisfaction of the children’s needs and rights.
The second and last day of the visit of the WFTU in Lahore, Pakistan concluded on 13th June 2019 with important activities.
The WFTU delegation had meetings with trade unions, discussion on the International trade union movement and the role of the class-oriented trade unions. Moreover, the WFTU delegation participated in a Youth meeting with took place in the framework of the seminar-meeting.
Delegates from several sectors of Pakistan participated in all the meetings and they discussed the structure of the WFTU, its up-going course and the new following activities of the international class-oriented trade union movement, exchanging their thoughts and proposals and assuring their willingness to strengthen the WFTU and its struggles.
