Valter, USB delegate at Levante Logistica, which provides contract services to Amazon in its Pisa plant, was fired after years of harassment and disciplinary measures for his complaints about safety.
We stand with our Levante Logistica delegate against the umpteenth act of employer arrogance that led to the dismissal of the worker.
A dismissal that is only the end of a path of harassment, intimidation and threats that the company has made over the years to the delegate.
The worker, in the exercise also of his function as delegate, brought forward the claim of all those contractual and legislative rights that regulate work, and for this he was first attacked with repeated disciplinary objections (in the space of a couple of years the worker received more than 30 disciplinary objections), then he was given more than 40 days of suspension, and finally came the dismissal.
USB believes it is important to immediately start a period of united union mobilisation to accompany the appeal of the dismissal and the legal action for the reinstatement of Valter.
For this reason, too, we reiterate what we have always maintained: Valter’s dismissal is an anti-union act that affects us all.
#I stand with Valter fired by Amazon because he demanded job security.
Touch one touches all: slaves never!
We ask for photos and videos in support of Valter.
