The World Federation of Trade Unions, on behalf of its 97 million members in 132 countries all over the globe, expresses its solidarity with the struggle of the workers in Iran, who oppose the privatizations of sectors of strategic importance.
At the same time, we join our voice with the workers of Iran who demand wage rises and improvement of their living conditions.
For the international class oriented trade union movement, the privatizations of strategic sectors result in dismissals, intensification of work and risks for the life of the workers, as well as in high prices for the people.
The WFTU in Iran as in every corner of the world supports the right demands of workers.
We call upon the protesters to struggle united for their claims and to isolate the agents of the CIA and of the US Imperialists who try to manipulate the fair struggles of the ordinary people.
