A Delegation of the WFTU affiliates in India – AITUC, CITU, AIUTUC, AICCTU, TUCC and UTUC – called on the Ambassador of Venezuela in New Delhi on 25th March, 2019. Swadesh Dev Roye and Amitava Guha, CITU, Vijayalakshmi, V.S. Giri and S. Damle, AITUC, Rejeev Dimri, AICCTU among others were in the Delegation.
The Resolution adopted at the Indian Workers’ Convention in Solidarity with the people of Venezuela against the Imperialist aggression on 19th March, 2019 at New Delhi was handed over to the Ambassador.
Ms. Coromoto Godoy the newly appointed Ambassador warmly welcomed the delegation and briefed about the latest situation in Venezuela. She also captured the picture of the support to President Maduro and struggle of the People of Venezuela to protect the Bolivarian Revolution from the onslaught of the US Administration led imperialist forces.
