More than 100,000 people, a sea of people flooded the streets of Athens with 9 huge demonstrations that met at Syntagma Square, at the National Rally of PAME.
On behalf of WFTU and USB Italy, Pierpaolo Leonardi addressed a greeting message.
Almost 1000 organisations, trade unions, associations responded to PAME´s called and united the workers with the farmers, the students with the women´s movement and the self employed wth the pensioners and the immigrants this great National Rally which became a strong outbreak of indignation, rage and demand. It gave a powerful, class response to the government and the capitalists and showed the abilities of the labour movement.
PAME’s activities will continue with a General Strike on November 27th.
