The WFTU representing 92 million members in 126 countries of the world condemns the violent evacuation of Ivry waste incinerator, the largest in Europe by the police and the interdiction of the demonstration on June 23rd. The workers of France continue their struggle against the anti-labour law “El Khomri”.
The government’s decision is to pass the law at all costs, serving the interests of the capital, shows that the working class, the workers must have no illusions about the role of government, if it is a social-democratic government or a liberal government. In every case it’s a government which defends the interests of the capitalists.
The violent evacuation proves the limits of their democracy. We are in solidarity with the workers of France and we call them to continue their struggle, to take part in the demonstration on June 23rd, the french workers have the support of the international class oriented trade union movement. The 92 million members of WFTU in every corner of the world unite their voices with our French brothers against the politics of Capitalists, their unions and their governments.
