The first online meeting with the newly affiliated Ecuadorian teachers’ union Federación Nacional de Sindicatos de Obreros de las Universidades y Escuelas Politécnicas del Ecuador (FENASOUPE) took place on 9 January. The WFTU and the union discussed a number of issues, including the union’s request for a trade union training and orientation seminar on the direction and forms of action to be taken in these first steps.
