The gas bottling and distribution workers of Hellenic Petroleum decided on August 20 to go on strike in order to protect their jobs and the terms of employment of their collective agreement.
Two days later, on August 22nd, workers of the SYNERGAZ company in their morning General Assembly decided to follow the militant example of their colleagues and went on strike with the same demands.
The strike is now the only option for workers to defend their labor rights, their collective agreement, and the right to dignified work. WFTU stands by the side of struggling workers and unequivocally condemns the presence of the police, aiming to intimidate the workers and repress their strikes.
