A high level delegation of the Central dos Trabalhadores e Trabalhadoras do Brasil (CTB) concluded a successful visit to the WFTU Headquarters in Athens, Greece and held a successful bilateral meeting with the WFTU Secretariat on February 11th.
The CTB delegation was headed by cde Adilson Araujo, CTB President and was also composed by cde Joao Batista Lemos, member of the WFTU Presidential Council and part of CTB’s national leadership and cde Divanilton Pereira, Head of International Relations. Present at the meeting, on behalf of the WFTU were the WFTU General Secretary, cde George Mavrikos, Valentin Pacho Quispe, Deputy General Secretary and Mohammed Iqnaibi, WFTU adviser for issues of the Arab World.
The CTB -the fastest growing trade union center in Brazil, representing millions of unionized workers and a WFTU affiliate since its foundation- and the WFTU reaffirmed the comradely relations between the the two organizations and discussed on common initiatives and strengthening the WFTU work on a national, regional, sectoral and international level.
