Delegates from all countries of every corner of the world meet in the Egyptian capital to discuss and plan democratically, in an organized and class-oriented manner the next steps of metal sector unions in every corner of the globe.
During the opening ceremony, the Vice President of the WFTU, Valentin Pacho, delivered a speech, reiterating the vision and the class actions of the WFTU family. The other speakers, Khaled el Feki, President of the Egyptian Metal Federation, Pradip Das, President of the UIS and Francisco Sousa, Secretary General of the TUI, pointed out the need for class organization of miners and metallurgists from all continents as a pivotal deed.
