The event commemorating the 70th anniversary of the WFTU was held today, June 8th 2015, at the ILO seat in Geneva, Switzerland. The commemorative event was hugely successful and room V of ILO was packed. Trade unionists from Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Arab World took part. Also present was Ana Biondi, on behalf of the ACTRAV – ILO.
All participants underlined the militant and class oriented action of the WFTU in its 70 years of existence and its role in promoting working class interests worldwide and forging internationalist solidarity among the workers of the world.
