It has been 74 years since one of the most heinous crimes against humanity when the USA dropped atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, murdering hundreds of thousands of people while thousands were affected from the radiation during the next years.
This unspeakable crime was committed by the US imperialism as a show of strength and a move of intimidate against the other countries and especial against the USSR in order to favorably form the post-war “new order of things”.
Now a days, the inter-imperialists antagonisms for the control of the markets, resources, their spheres of influence are escalating and the real threat for new use of nuclear weapons endanger the world’s peoples.
The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), since the first year of its foundation in 1945, has had a clear and plain position against nuclear weapons. We demand:
• Abolition of all nuclear weapons, everywhere.
• Application of Iran nuclear agreement by all sides.
• Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula
• Abolition of all sanctions and blockades, whose only victims are the peoples.
The WFTU denies USA’s “right” to decide on who can and who is not allowed to have nuclear energy and strongly demands the ABOLITION OF ALL NUCLEAR WEAPONS EVERYWHERE.
