The World Federation of Trade Unions strongly condemns the bloodbath in Libya organized by the regime of Gaddafi, a regime that was allied with USA and Great Britain and followed a deep antidemocratic course in favor of international capital.
We express our solidarity and support to the popular forces that struggle for working rights and democratic freedoms.
A struggle against the dictatorship regime of Gaddafi is a struggle against its policy, against the brutal exploitation, against the lack of democratic freedoms, against the imperialist intervention and the scheme of the bourgeoisie.
The blood of the innocent people of Arab Maghreb will be the seed for a true democratic change if the dictators leave together with their imperialist policy.
This blood ought to be the seed for a new organised class-oriented trade union movement in these countries, struggling on the side of the workers and their rights.
The World Federation of Trade Union will support this effort by all means possible.
