The World Federation of Trade Unions, the militant voice of 105 million workers who live, work and struggle in 130 countries of the 5 continents, expresses its solidarity with the struggle of the working class of Sri Lanka, demanding that all students to be provided with the necessary infrastructure and equipment is required for the smooth access in the education.
We demand the immediate, free and universal access of all students to an internet connection and to be ensured that all students will have internet connectable device. The education is not a privilege for the few nor a commodity. The international class-oriented trade union movement continues its struggle for the abolition of any form of class barriers in all levels of education.
