The World Federation of Trade Unions, on behalf of its more than 95 million workers who live, work and struggle in every corner of the world, expresses its class support and internationalist solidarity to the garment workers in Indonesia.
The Garment Workers of Indonesia are paid with crumbs at the same time that they create products that worth countless millions of dollars which are grabbed from the multinationals such as NIKE.
The international class-oriented trade union movement stands on the side of the working class of Indonesia, demanding dignified salaries, the improvement of the working conditions, adequate health and safety measures at the workplaces and trade union rights.
We call the working class of Indonesia to support practically the struggling garment workers until the full satisfaction of their fair demands. We assure Indonesian garment workers that they are not alone in this fight and they can rely on the unfailing support of the working class worldwide.
