The World Federation of Trade Unions, (WFTU) addresses the world public opinion and the international working class and expresses its solidarity with the people of Italy who is facing the great disasters of the deadly earthquake. More than 100 people lost their lives and many people are still believed buried under the rubble, with hundreds hurt. The WFTU express its condolences to families of the people who lost their lives.
WFTU follows the developments in the region and we express our moral support and solidarity with the victims and the labor movement of Italy. We call the government of Italy to immediately take all necessary relief measures for those affected by the earthquake and take all necessary protection measures for the safety of the people.
