THE CRIME OF SOMA MUST NOT BE FORGOTTEN. IT MUST NOT BE COVERED UP,IT MUST NOT BE REPEATED”.
He stated clearly “we demand the punishment of those who are guilty, the Government of Turkey and the Soma Holdings. We strongly demand modern, sufficient and effective measures to limit to the greatest extent other such similar cases in all mines of Turkey. We support the struggle against the privatization of the mines. We believe and we openly say it that the mineral wealth of Turkey belongs to its people. It must be used for the satisfaction of the people’s needs and the improvement of their quality of life”.
