TUI Transport, Ports, Fishery and Communication, the Sectoral Organization of the World Federation of Trade Unions clearly expresses its firm solidarity with our class brothers and sisters in Britain who have just kicked off a militant strike against the anti-worker policies implemented by Tory GovernmentThe bourgeois governments in all over the world try to reduce public funding as well as to accelerate privatizations so that they can solve the systematic financial crises of capitalism. In the same way, Tory Government in Britain has decided to cut £4bn of funding from transport systems – £2bn from national rail and £2bn from Transport for London.
This transport austerity has paved the way for the employing companies to take some decisions that resulted in many attacks to the employees in transport sector. The militant union of the transport workers in Britain, The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers, took action and declared a strike covering 21st, 23rd
and 25th June.
As TUI Transport, Ports, Fishery and Communication, we side with Railway Workers in Britain who are fighting for their rights. No power can stop the organized struggle of working class.
