Rajasthan trade unions marched to Shahjahanpur to express their solidarity and support to the agitating farmers against three Agri Laws and Electricity Amendment Bill. They were also raising slogans against 4 labour codes and in favour of growing unity between workers and farmers. The leaders and activists of the unions which participated in the procession today included AITUC, INTUC, HMS, CITU and RCITU.
They were led by Amarjeet Kaur, General Secretary and Vidya Sagar Giri, National Secretary AITUC, Kunal Rawat, Birduram Saini and Dharamvir – AITUC, Jagdish Shrimali- INTUC, Mukesh Mathur-HMS, Ravinder Shukla-CITU, Rampal-RCITU.
The union leaders addressed the kisans at the agitating farmers protest site and assured them of continued support from the working class of the country. They condemned the propagandists who waged vicious campaign to defame Kisan agitation. The Government has used all resources and institutions at its hand to harass, intimidate and threaten the activists and leaders of the movement.
The farmers, they said, have braved all allegations and oppression waged by the Government and stood their ground.
The farmers have taken up the cause of all the people and there is common cause of workers and farmers to oppose the policies of privatisation and the loot of Indian and foreign Corporates.
The trade unions are actively supporting all the action calls including the Kisan tractor march on 26th January after Republic Day parade.
