Independent trade-union LABA held rally in the center of Riga, capital of Latvia. More than thousand activists participated in protest meeting and demonstration against social-economic policy of right government. Now Latvia faces new economic turmoil with biggest metal plant KVV Liepajas Metalurgs closing and more than 5000 workers lost their jobs. Crisis in healthcare and education continues due to budget shortage. In the same time, military expenditures in 2016 has doubled. NATO demands for Latvia 2% GDP for military.
