The World Federation of Trade Unions representing more than 95 million workers in 130 countries of the 5 continents, denounces the lack of water supply systems at 653 villages in Kyrgyzstan. In addition, the water supply systems in 263 villages are more than fifty years old.
The International class-oriented trade union movement demands and struggles for access to public services of electricity, water and heating for all. The direct access to drinkable water for all is an non-negotiable demand of the WFTU.
The WFTU stands on the side of the working class and the popular strata of Kyrgyzstan and calls the competent authorities to undertake all the necessary measures and provide adequate water supply systems for the whole population of Kyrgyzstan.
