The World Federation of Trade Unions, which is the militant voice of more than 92 million workers in the five Continents, strongly condemns the far-rightists gatherings and manifestations that take place in Kemnitz, Saxony, against migrants and refugees who live in Germany.
We also denounce the violent attacks and intimidation against migrants, as well as the spreading of racism, xenophobia and hatred by political powers which participate in the gatherings.
Such manifestations are hypocritical, since they accuse of violence the migrants and refugees, who are the victims of the policy of the State of Germany, of the EU, of NATO and of the USA. These powers participated in the wars of Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Mali, conflicts that created massacres, great misery and the uprooting of thousands of people who were forced to migrate, while at the same time the German State used migrants in order to have a more flexible work force, necessary for the profitability of its monopolies.
The WFTU demands the protection and the improvement of the working and living conditions of the working class of Germany, both local and foreign. We call on the working class and the ordinary people of Germany to condemn and to marginalize the far-rightists, who undermine the interests of the working people, by disseminating hatred among the local and the foreign workers.
