The 2020 WFTU Presidential Council meeting concluded today adopting the 2021 Action plan, the new affiliation requests and Resolutions on all important and contemporary topics of workers concern.
In the conclusion speech, the General Secretary has high-lighted the importance of the 75th years militant course of the WFTU and the decision to move on with more militant struggles, internationalism and solidarity.
Among the adopted resolutions a special importance was given to the one about the present situation of workers during the covid19 pandemic and the Call for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize to be awarded to the International Health Contingent “Henry Reeve” of Cuba.
The 2020 WFTU Presidential Council gave the green light for the 18th World Trade Union Congress next year.
