The World Federation of Trade Unions, representing 92 million workers, struggles against the exploitation of non-regular and flexible forms of employment. The employers and the bourgeois class use the workers with fixed-term contracts as low cost working force. The majority of these workers work full time and with the same working conditions with the permanent workers but with fewer rights. Because of the fixed-term contract they face reduced wages, reduced overtime payment, fewer benefits regarding the permit days and more work insecurity.
The World Federation of Trade Unions demands equal rights for equal work regardless the gender, the age, and the status of the workers.
In this direction, the WFTU supports the demands of the Postal Workers in Japan and all workers affected by the above anti-labor policy.
