The WFTU expresses its deep concern and great sorrow at the catastrophic explosions in Sharm Al Sheikh and condemns this ugly crime which resulted in the death and injuries to several innocent civilians and the destruction of a number of public and private buildings and establishments in this important tourist centre. This cruel act aimed at destabilizing the ongoing tourism-related economic boom in Egypt, has a grave negative impact on the Egyptian workers and people as well as the economic and social development and the security and stability of Egypt, the Arab region and the world. ...

The Secretariat of the WFTU strongly condemns the recent brutal terrorist attacks in London, killing dozens and injuring hundreds of innocent civilians. The WFTU conveys its deep condolences to the victims and their families and friends, and to the TUC of Great Britain and its affiliated trade unions.
